Joint Team Editing of a Template

The team mode offers you the possibility to work on a template with several editors at the same time or at different times.

Share

To share a template, click the template you want to share in the dashboard, then click the three grey dots, and then click SHARE. Select the individual users you want to share the template with (or an entire user group) by clicking the grey dots next to their names, which are now listed on the right side of the screen.

The shared template will appear in the dashboard of these selected users and can either be used by them to create documents or edited as a copy. The original template remains unchanged.

Enable and disable team mode

Share the template with your team for simultaneous editing by checking ACTIVATE TEAM MODE under OPTIONS in Edit Mode. All users to whom the template is released can now work on it together with you.

In the dashboard, you can recognize the templates in which the team mode is enabled by the changed label:

Delete

Tip

Handle rights management with care, as any editor can make changes that apply to everyone.

A use case for team mode is a change of editors by other users or a case where a small group of editors share responsibility.

If employees have change requests, it can make sense to collect them outside of Lawlift, evaluate them and then have them implemented from a single source.

In any case, it should be avoided that the overview of the editors is lost. Otherwise, there is a risk that the current processing status will be lost from sight and the quality of the template will suffer.
